The JCCEO Community Substance Abuse Prevention Program (CSAPP) is the primary provider of intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment and prevention to low-income, uninsured residents of Jefferson County, Alabama. Prevention services provide an array of family-based and school-based services designed for youth, families, and the community. Activities include education, alternatives, community-based and environmental strategies conducted during school, after school, on weekends, and during the summer. Services provided in outpatient treatment are individual, group, and family counseling for adults ages 18 and above. (Persons 18 years of age require parental consent.) Outreach and referrals from the Municipal Court and other treatment/local community agencies enable JCCEO CSAPP to provide an alternative to medical institutionalization and/or incarceration for individuals with alcohol and drug problems.
The intensive outpatient treatment program offers a range of interactive, therapeutic, human and education services to addicted individuals and their families. JCCEO CSAPP locations are:
