The Family Services Component coordinates recruitment of eligible children for the program. Children are recruited and enrolled in the program without regard to race, sex, creed, color, national origin, or special needs. This component also assists families in their efforts to improve the condition and quality of family life by making them aware of community services and resources and how to use them effectively.
Once a child is enrolled and actively participating in the program, the family receives services directly from Family Services Workers or through referrals to other agencies. Family Services Workers act as advocates for families who must work with other agencies in order to obtain the services they need.
